Ethernet: A Global Investment and Technology Firm Installs Cablesys Pre-terminated Patch Panel System

Piscataway, New Jersey – IT staff at a global investment and technology development firm installed Cablesys’ Pre-terminated Patch Panel System. They deployed 216 Ethernet ports over a Category 6A (CAT 6A) copper-rated system supporting their 10G network. Cablesys helped build the materials.
Cablesys built nine 24-Port CAT 6A patch panels. The process involved terminating CAT 6A keystone connectors onto 650MHz CAT 6A cables in 30, 50 and 75-foot lengths. All terminations were tested using a Fluke DSX8000 cable analyzer. Bezels were applied to the connectors, which allows them to snap into the patch panel. The cables were bundled and labeled to make routing and identification easy. Rear cable management panels were included for support.
Once their staff received the materials at the project site, they screwed the patch panels onto server racks, routed the cables, and snapped in the connectivity. The project required no on-site termination and testing.
