Ethernet: An Electrical Contractor Installs Cablesys Pre-terminated Patch Panel System for a Recording Studio

Sherman Oaks, California – An electrical contractor won a cabling project from a recording studio. The contractor deployed 48 Ethernet ports over a Category 6 (CAT 6) pre-terminated patch panel system expanding the studio's network. Cablesys helped build the materials.
Cablesys built two 24-Port CAT 6 patch panels. The process involved terminating CAT 6 keystone connectors onto 600MHz CAT 6 cables in 25-foot lengths. Then testing all terminations using a Fluke DSX8000 cable analyzer. Bezels were applied to the connectors to snap into the patch panel. The cables were bundled and labeled to make routing and identification easy. Rear cable management panels were included for support.
Once the contractor received the materials at the project site, they screwed the patch panels onto server racks, routed the cables, and snapped in the connectivity. The project required no on-site termination and testing.
