Ohio – An international foundation in New Albany, Ohio, has completed the installation of a Cablesys Pre-terminated CAT 6 Cabling System, improving their communications infrastructure. The foundation's IT staff integrated forty-eight Category 6 (CAT 6) Ethernet ports into their network, with support from Cablesys in sourcing and building the necessary materials.
Cablesys constructed two 24-Port CAT 6 patch panels. The process involved terminating CAT 6 UTP keystone connectors onto 600MHz CAT 6e UTP cables, cut to 25-foot lengths. These connectors were assembled into bezels, allowing seamless integration into the rear of the patch panels. To facilitate routing and identification, the cables were bundled and labeled. All terminations underwent factory testing using the Fluke DSX8000 cable analyzer.
The foundation's IT staff mounted bracket panels onto the network racks, installed the connectivity components, and routed the cables to the appropriate network equipment upon receiving the materials.
