A federal law-enforcement agency located in Virginia needed a quick way to upgrade their cabling system. However, hiring a company to do the installation seemed difficult. Their data was very sensitive, and it would have taken several weeks to get the security clearance. The IT Director decided to do the work themselves and install Cablesys’ Pre-terminated Patch Panel System.

The project required increasing the agency’s connectivity with 72 Ethernet and 432 fiber optic ports to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth. Cablesys pre-built and shipped two sets of 25-foot cable assemblies, Category 6A copper and LC OM3 fiber. Mounting hardware for each cable assembly was also included. Once their IT staff screwed the bracket panels onto the server racks, they snapped in the cable assemblies. The installation was completed within minutes.
