A federal research facility located outside Livermore, California, needed to install temporary workstations in a room with no data outlets. Their solution: Install Cabelsys’ pre-termintated cassette patch panel connected to a mobile outlet box. The box comes equipped with six Category 6 (CAT6) Ethernet ports protected with an ABS plastic body designed for rugged environments. Each box was built with CAT6 cable that extended 75 feet with snap-in bezels on each end. Once the shipment was received, their staff was able to snap 12 data ports onto a rack-mounted bracket panel located in the telecom room, run the cables to their designated areas, and lay the boxes down within minutes.
