Ethernet: Electrical Contractor Installs Pre-terminated Patch Panel System
Published by Cablesys on Jul 10th 2019
An electrical contractor located in Lebanon, Connecticut, wanted to connect computers and network equipment for their servers. However, there were no data outlets in the area. To resolve the issue, they installed Cablesys’ Pre-terminated Patch Panel System with mobile box.
The mobile box offers a temporary way to provide connectivity in an open environment. It is made with sturdy ABS plastic to withstand harsh environments. Cablesys built four boxes, each with six Category 6 data ports pre-terminated to Category 6 cable in 50 and 100 feet lengths. The opposite end of the cable came with a unique bezel that snaps into a bracket panel mounted on a server rack. Once the contractor received the materials, all they had to do was screw the bracket panel onto the rack, snap in the bezel, and lay the boxes down.
